Nevada DOT’s outreach for public comments is in the closing hours.
At stake is a choice between two routes through the Las Vegas Metro Area. One route would take I-11 from the 215/515 interchange north along 515,through the Spaghetti Bowl interchange with I-15 to US-95 at Kyle Canyon Road. The other would move west along 215, following 215 north around the loop past Downtown Summerlin to the intersection with US-95 and north to Kyle Canyon Road.
The state has been hosting a series of in-person meeting, plus one telephone conference and an ongoing online meeting where comments are being taken. That online meeting remains open through Sept. 30 at https://i11nv.com/ndot-online-meeting/.
After the comment period, NV DOT will meet with stakeholders before making its recommendation to federal officials. A final decision is expected next spring.
