Meetings planned on Vegas route

NV Dot has announced a series of six “informational meetings” on the process for selecting a final route for I-11 through the Las Vegas Metro area.

The agency’s listed goals include to “inform and educate” and “promptly address concerns.”

First up is a session Aug. 31, from 4 -7 p.m., at the Sahara West Library in Las Vegas.

Four other in-person sessions will follow:
Sept. 1: 4 – 7 p.m. at Centennial Hills Community Center YMCA; 6601 N Buffalo Drive, Las Vegas;
Sept. 7: 4 – 7 p.m. at Lifeguard Arena, Lookout Room; 222 S Water St., Henderson;
Sept. 14: 4 – 7 p.m. at Historic Fifth Street School; 401 S 4th Street, Las Vegas, and Sept. 16: 2:30 – 5:30 p.m. at Windmill Library; 7060 W. Windmill Lane, Las Vegas.

In addition, a telephone conference – available in both English and Spanish – will be held Sept. 2 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Dial-in numbers are 833-589-2166 for English and  833-589-2167 for Spanish.

A Spanish interpreter will be provided at all in-person meetings.
